Adding all your information to an Electronic Resource Manager system is already a cumbersome task, but the maintenance of that information is an even greater undertaking. SwetsWise eSource Manager already helps with the initial data entry of the information by providing you with a pre-populated database of publisher’s standard license conditions. Another benefit of this pre-populated database is that the information in that database is automatically maintained for you.

Automatically Maintaining Your License Conditions

All license conditions visible in SwetsWise eSource Manager are automatically maintained for your convenience. SwetsWise will automatically update your licenses for you when a publisher condition is changed. This way you no longer have to keep track of all the publishers and resources you have content from saving you considerable effort.

You also don’t have to worry about changes you made to a license being automatically overwritten. SwetsWise eSource Manager will only update those fields that still have the standard condition in them and that you haven’t customized.

Automatically maintaining the list of Publications you have access to

Maintaining the license conditions can actually be a minor task when compared to the work involved in maintaining which publications you have access to because of a license. Publications are constantly changing from one publisher to another, new publications become available, other publications simply cease from being published. SwetsWise eSource Manager helps you keep track of all of this automatically. As soon as a new publication is made available by a publisher, it will be listed under the applicable licenses of that publisher. If a publication is sold by one publisher to another, SwetsWise automatically moves it to the correct license for you. Additionally, any other bibliographic change, such as a name change, is also maintained.

Automatically maintaining your information

Due to the integration with SwetsWise Subscriptions, SwetsWise eSource Manager automatically adds any license you have due to your subscriptions that are managed via SwetsWise Subscriptions. Whenever you buy a new subscription that requires you to sign a new license, this license will automatically be added to your list. Additionally, SwetsWise eSource Manager automatically maintains which publications you have access to based on your subscriptions.

This integration provides you with an additional means to reduce the effort necessary in maintaining all the details of your resources and licenses allowing you to focus your attention on other tasks.
