ScholarlyStats is a Usage Statistics Portal from Swets, in partnership with MPS Technologies. ScholarlyStats provides monthly consolidated and dashboard reports for journals and databases.

ScholarlyStats has been developed to provide information professionals with the tools to analyze usage of their online content. As libraries today are evolving rapidly in response to the availability of online material and remote access by users, and as library budgets are under ever-increasing pressure, the need for an organized system to monitor, maintain and support the analysis of usage statistics has become apparent.

ScholarlyStats enables libraries to outsource the administration of their usage statistics; to allow librarians to spend more time analyzing and understanding usage and less time administrating. The ScholarlyStats portal provides libraries with a single point of access for vendor usage statistics. Usage statistics reports are collected and processed monthly by the ScholarlyStats team and accessible to library staff through our user-friendly interface.

The ScholarlyStats portal provides librarians with easy access to their latest vendor usage statistics, to help:

  • measure the cost effectiveness of your online content purchases
  • explore usage at your institutions
  • understand and analyze trends in user behavior
  • identify training issues
  • make budgeting decisions based upon real usage
  • help demonstrate the value that online access provides to your readers

In-depth, regular and complete analysis of usage statistics is a new area of exploration for many libraries, and we are keen to make sure that all our customers can get the most out of ScholarlyStats. We also feel it is important for us to keep our fingers on the pulse of the usage statistics needs of information professionals, and will be working with our customers to develop the service over time to ensure you get the most out of your usage statistics.
