Gateway to China

Since 1997 Swets has gathered extensive experience in the Chinese market. Our Beijing office hosts not only the most extensive sales force amongst international subscription agents, but also a widespread customer network ranging from local import agents to individual libraries and consortia all over China.

We successfully run campaigns for more than 10 publishers, who have entrusted us to be their sales arm in China. We introduce their content to the local agents, libraries and consortia, offer trials via SwetsWise Online Content (solving the internet issues), negotiate (package) deals and participate in various conferences and events (e.g. the CALIS annual meeting and the Beijing International Book Fair).

China Scholarly Journal Road Shows 2007
Following our highly successful 2006 China Road Shows, Swets' Beijing Office is very pleased to announce that Road Shows will take place again in April 2007. This time the exhibition will cover Beijing (North East China), Chengdu (South West China), Wuhan (Central China) and Nanjing (South East China). Swets will continue its co-operation with CEPIEC.

Compared with last year's Road Shows, the 2007 Road Shows will focus on the medium-sized cities in China, where the international publishers have less coverage but the market potential is big. We also offer publishers more marketing and brand promotion opportunities, i.e. advertising opportunities in the Road Shows catalog and display of banners/posters in the exhibition halls. In addition, publishers can offer a trial of their full-text contents directly to the end users via SwetsWise Online Content.
