The publishers of the majority of content available in SwetsWise Online Content trust our SwetsWise user authentication system to such an extent that they will allow any user through that comes from SwetsWise Online Content. This, coupled with Swets’ internal processing of new subscriptions, means that you can obtain access to the content of a new subscription within 24 hours of access being requested to the publisher. In many cases this is much quicker then what the publishers are capable of, making you less dependant on the publisher's own administration and gives you the opportunity to provide your users with access quickly and through a single interface.

The reason so many publishers trust the authentication procedures of SwetsWise Online Content is because of the advanced authentication capabilities that SwetsWise contains. Users can login via the normal IP Address authentication means, via a User ID and Password, or with their Athens User ID and Password. SwetsWise has gone a step further and also provides the ability to use Single Sign-On capabilities. With Single Sign-On, a user is authenticated automatically into SwetsWise Online Content without ever having to remember their User ID and Password. Customers that use this method will place a link on their intranets linking to SwetsWise. When a user clicks on the link, they are authenticated into SwetsWise based on your internal network credentials. This ensures the highest level of security, in terms of which users are allowed to access content and which ones aren’t.
